Dcraw statistic
I have taken a look at the statistics behind dcraw. I’m just thinking about how it grows in lines. Of course that is not a very good quality indicator, but it gives us an indication of the activity to Mr Dave Coffin.
I have used output from rlog. This is prossece with awk and send to gnuplot.
Another thing is dcraw have some name changes in the past. As far as I can see the story is about this:
- From 1997/2/22 CRW to PPM conver versjon 0.1 to 0.85
- from 1999/4/12 Canon Powershot 600 Converter v.086 to 0.89
- fom 1999/4/15 Canon Powershot Converter v0.90 to v1.72
- from 2002/11/9 Raw Photo Decoder v.3.50 to 7/3- 2004
- from 2003/9/22 is the word dcraw mentsioned in the source code.
Today the full name is “Raw Photo Decoder dcraw” in everyday language the word dcraw is used. DC stands for Dave Coffin.
